Let’s get you support today.

If you’ve found me, know that reaching out to support you and your family is one of the most vulnerable and brave actions you can take. If you’re going through challenges or transitions in your family, you’re not alone.

—Katie Goger, LICSW

I'm available to guide you and your family where you are, as you are.

These are the fundamentals of what I do as a parent-child therapist:

1.

I work exclusively with parents and their children — biological, adoptive, foster, and kinship arrangements. Most, but not all therapy includes the child—birth through age eight.

Research demonstrates time and again that this is the most effective age range for influencing development on children. Whether you are newly adjusting to parenthood or taking on the school age years, navigating these transition can be isolating and overwhelming. Ideally, I help you and your family gain additional skills to know how to handle challenges as they come.

2.

I create a safe space for learning and growth.

Within our sessions, I provide a climate of safety where you feel comfortable to explore new ways of interacting with yourself and others. I guide you, the parent, to be empowered by the bonds you already have with your child. As a strengths-based therapist, I help you feel confident in knowing that you already have so many skills, and now we can refine them together.

3.

I add new tools and methods into your toolbox.

I teach you evidenced-based skills to promote the connection and boundaries of your relationships. Parents are inundated with information and unfortunately, much of the tools on social media and other platforms are putting more confusion and stress on parents. I ensure that the techniques work for your family by finding a balanced approach to parenting. Together, we solidify techniques that you will use on your own to enhance a loving, bonded relationship for years to come.
